TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

 

 

Notice is hereby given that Wexford County Council intends to close the roads listed hereunder to vehicular traffic during the time window of Monday 4 April 2022 to Friday 22 April 2022, to facilitate road resurfacing works following recent installation of sewerage pipes.

 

 

Road Closures 1:    Church Road (L4052-1) Duncannon, from its junction with Main Street to the All Saint’s Church at Clonsharragh.

 

                              Main Street (L4052-2) Duncannon, from its junction with Strand Road to its junction with Church Road.

 

 

Alternative Route 1: From Main Street Duncannon to Strand Road Duncannon to Walsh’s Cross Haggard to Ramsgrange to Mersheen to Church Road via the L4052, R737, R733 & and the L4052.

 

Road Closure 2:     Quay Road (R737-5) Duncannon, from its junction with Main Street to its junction with the L4052-4 at Duncannon Harbour/Pier

 

 

Alternative Route 2: From Main Street Duncannon to Duncannon Fort to Ducannon Harbour via the L4052.

 

 

Alternative routes will be signposted. Local access will be facilitated to the School, Church and residents.

 

Any person wishing to object to the closing of this road should lodge the objection in writing via the online portal  or in hard copy before 12.00 noon on Tuesday 8 March, 2022 to the County Secretary, Wexford County Council, County Hall, Wexford.
