Wexford County Council gives notice of its intention to pedestrianise the roads listed hereunder and to temporary close the listed roads to vehicular traffic on Saturday 2July 2022 to facilitate the holding of a re-enactment of the 2 July 1922 battle as part of the Literary and Commemoration Festival.
Road Closures No. 1: Castle Street, Castle Hill (R702), (between the junction of Slaney Street and Market Square and roundabout at Abbey Square) and Church Street, Lower Church Street and Rafter Street from 10:00 to 13:00 on Saturday 2 July 2022.
Alternative Route: HCV Traffic (Eastbound)
Duffry Hill to Parnell Road to Arnold’s Cross to Mill Park Road to Abbey Square Roundabout via R890 and N30.
Alternative Route: HCV Traffic (Westbound)
Roundabout on Abbey Square to Mill Park Road to Arnold’s Cross to Parnell Road to Duffry Hill via N30 and R890.
